Hi Diane and All,

If you read one of my posts below you'll see I wrote about Mt. Unzen in Japan and a pyroclastic flow. This happens to me so often. I write about something and shortly thereafter something happens. But when I was reading this story, the year 1978 really jumped up and out. Do you remember 1978 in the Bay Area? We had lots of earthquakes then. It seemed to keep a steady pace between 1978 until 1980 when Mammoth went and then it got a little quiet and then I think a moderate quake hit in 1984. I was in Seattle at the time, but the family told me about how it affected Pinole and those area's.

My regular wall phone fell in the dogs water dish the other day and died, so when I went to use my cell phone today, I would be talking and all of the sudden it would cut out. Its fully stored with energy as I charged it three days ago and I hardly ever use it. I was wondering if it had anything to do with solar activity. (you should have heard the phone dying. It sounded like an animal taking its last breath. A slow squeal).

Anyway, if they got a quake in the Livermore Valley anytime in the near future, I wouldn't be one bit surprised. That's not a prediction, just an observation.

Thanks Diane for sharing the news story...Pat
